The Essence of Gratitude: A Thanksgiving Song

A beautiful autumn landscape with colorful leaves
Autumn leaves and gratitude in poetry
The golden fields are resting now,
Their bounty stored, their heads bowed low.
The harvest moon, a lantern bright,
Guides us toward this grateful night.
The table gleams with autumn’s yield,
From orchard tree to farmer’s field.
Sweet cider warms, the bread is brown,
The turkey waits, all basted down.
But more than feasts, this day’s for hearts,
For love that binds, for each small part:
The laughter shared, the stories told,
The memories spun like threads of gold.
Give thanks for hands that toil and care,
For autumn’s breath, the crisp, cool air.
For friends and kin who gather near,
Their voices sweet as the songs we hear.
Let gratitude like rivers flow,
Through every joy, through every woe.
For in our thanks, we find our grace,
A love that time cannot erase.
So raise your cup, let blessings ring,
And join the song Thanksgiving brings.
A melody, both bright and true,
Of hearts united, old and new.
